I'm sitting here reading wonderful comics like The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal ([link]) and Goodbye Chains ([link]) and lamenting my inability to make something so great. What I'm saying is;
This comic making thing is harder than I thought.
About a weeks worth of grueling 'work' (while taking breaks every five minutes to read D. Grey-Man for 'reference') has led to about three pages (if you add them all up together) of messy comic work. I know that many good webcomics start off with less-than-exemplary (crappy) art, but I'm having the simple trouble of connecting that to ME. Not that I'm a phenomenal artist or anything, I was just hoping to have style breakthrough or something. Three pages in.
Anyway, those are my current frustrations. I will press on! and hopefully have something to show for it. It doesn't help that I have been forced out of drawing practice by International Baccalaureate art demanding that I experiment in other medias.
On the other hand, I have discovered the perfect soundtrack for this comic. Anything Nick Cave. So cool.
EDIT: So I was reading through all of my old journal entries and I have realized that I was a terrible terrible kid. Whatever.
